While training for a career in Occupational Therapy at Ohio State University, basic and practical classes in art and design were required. I have enjoyed exploring many different art mediums. A cloisonné enamel was accepted in the 1969 May Show of the Cleveland Museum of Art. Other enamel pieces were juried into Art Shows at The Jewish Community Center of Cleveland.
After 17 years of working in occupational therapy, I retired in 1993. Retirement gave me the opportunity to pursue my interest in art and painting, and to take classes at the Orange Art Center and Chautauqua Institution. My real passion is watercolor, and a new area of exploration is acrylics.
The interest in art affects my way of life, when traveling, a sketch book is at hand so I can observe what is around me with more appreciation.
